Babylon Circus are back, so listen up.
They’ve done more than just change or even progress: they’ve undergone a complete renaissance.
And they’re as powerful as ever on stage: in terms of explosive live performance, Babylon Circus have little to fear from the competition, here or anywhere. Then when you’ve felt the cold hand of death on your shoulder, it does tend to alter your view of life, leaving you with different things to say.
More profound, more important things… and that’s apparent right from the start of their new album, which is going to win these buccaneers (we’re prepared to bet on this) the massive recognition they deserve!

August, 2006, Israel Vibration has just gone out of stage and the public still hold his breath. One of the oldest Jamaican groups still in service has just put the ninth edition of the Reggae Sun Ska audience down on their knees.

The Roots Radics, the band which has been accompanying the two singers affected by the poliomyelitis disease played a high-standard reggae that night. Flabba Holt, the bass player, back in the stage, still smiling said:" It’s the job my lad. The atmosphere is good here. There we go without thinking”. A tradition in the Medoc Land.

Last year, there were about 13000 persons who had approved the up-market performance of Toots and the Maytals and the fabulous concert of the Americans ‘ Groundation’ . This year they were more than 13500 to applaud, besides Israel Vibration, Anthony B, Patrice, or still Gentleman. On the initiative of Music ' Action, the cinema of the town of Pauillac, a few kilometres away, proposed two films, telling the reggae story in their personal way.
Next year, the festival will be 10-years old.

There are so many names for Lady Saw: The Queen of Dancehall, The First Lady of Dancehall, or the latest one: Mama Saw. The latest name, however, is quite befitting at this point in her career because she is The Matriarch for all female dancehall deejays, and arguably some female rappers. She is the first female deejay to win a Grammy (which she did with No Doubt for –Underneath it All” ÀBest Performance by a Duo or Group with a Vocal), to go triple platinum (with said single), to go gold (with Vitamin C for –Smile”), and to headline shows outside of her native Jamaica . Even before Gwen Stefani and her cronies tapped Saw for their multi-successful, mainstream single together, Missy Elliott and Foxy Brown had long contacted the singer/deejay/producer/songwriter to weigh in on their hip-hop/reggae flirtations. Truly, this Mama has made an impact, not only in the smoky corners of the dancehall where her sensuous lyrics cause couples to bubble and wine, but internationally. Her style, a blend of rude gyal, pump-your-fist-ladies anthems and raunchy, risqué rants about real and surreal sexcapades, is in demand now more than ever.

It was also covered by many other International artists’ including Third World. What followed were a string of hits of which included "Declaration of Rights," "Yi Mas Gan." and “Let My Days Be Long”. Early albums were a collection of singles recorded throughout the 1970’s on their own label—Clinch, of which included “Forward On To Zion” (1976) and “ARISE” (1978).

Dwight "Nuclear" White began his musical career while still attending Braeton Primary. His first live performance was a stage show dubbed the Greatest Show on Earth in Portmore at the tender age of seven. He continued to perform at various shows locally and in 1995 released his first recording “Innocent” for legendary producers Sly & Robbie’s Taxi Label.

Since then, he has recorded countless singles, most notably Eagle Fly, Weaky Weaky, Resident Evil, Gwaan So Bad, and Pimp Juice with Vybz Kartel. Over the years Nuclear has performed on some of the biggest shows in Jamaica such as Sting, Portmore Awards, Spring Break, Fully Loaded, West Kingston Jamboree as well as a number of shows at various Caribbean countries.

In 2007 he was the victim of a drive by shooting in Portmore and was involved in a car accident, which left him in critical condition, while on his way to the hospital.

This setback prevented him from recording for over a year, however, would serve as motivation in returning to his craft with a vengeance. He returned to the studio in 2008 and has since released a number of singles including Gwaan So Bad, Bend Down Gal featuring G-loc along with an accompanying video. The Mixtape "Right About Now" was released in September of 2009 featuring many underground favourites and exclusive tracks.

Currently he is busy promoting his latest single “Single Mothers” for which a video was released earlier this summer. The video “Single Mothers” has been featured on numbers local and international reggae charts and television stations including TVJ, RETV, and Hype TV.

Link for Bookings
404-279-2208 or tantan1876@gmail.com nuclearmusic876@gmail.com
